Hello one and all. Today's blog deals with the struggles of Jesus and their relationship to today's world. Everyone pretty much knows or has heard of the crucifixion by now however, very few people really believe it. I am among those who do, but try to find out the whole story as it becomes more and more significant in this world.

To make the story more simpler, I look at the original conflict between God and the Devil. The world was created to be a "testing ground" to see who belonged in The Kingdom of Heaven and who belonged in Hell; a battle ground to be more exact for the struggle between good and evil. The Bible says Jesus "was slain from the foundation of the Earth" (Revelation 13:8) meaning Jesus was slain to allow this battle to occur on this planet. He was, if you will, payment for this war to be fought for the hearts and minds of men in this world. A similar course of events took place for God and Satan to fight for the allegiance of Job. Job was deprived of his possessions for God and Satan to see where his heart truly lay.

Throughout history this dynamic is seen as God and Satan continue to vie for man's favor. What I have recently come to realize, however, is that especially in today's world

ree

many continue to seek Jesus' death to ensure their favor with God our receive his benefactions when this is not always necessary. One must believe he died for our sins already and accept that fact and move on towards receiving the blessings that come along with Jesus' sacrifice.

Some interpretations of Revelations say Jesus is coming back not as a suffering servant but a conquering king. If this is true, believers must be prepared to receive him that way and do likewise. The world today continues to seek to "crucify" believers and non. Christians (born again and not) must be ready to make some sacrifices to inherit the Kingdom of God but also be vigilant as well; as it is my belief that believers are called today to reap the rewards of Christ's sacrifice and continue to enlighten others.

Until next time, remember God loves you and so do I.
